Two months of staying at home leaves you with a lot of time on your hands–even if you are working from home. In all that time that you are not doing the usual, you find yourself learning all sorts of interesting things.
I’d like to share a few of the things I’ve learned since I’ve started sheltering in place.
*Clears throat dramatically*
I learned how to bake Japanese milk bread (It is delicious, but a lot of work!). I learned to put a tray beneath baked onions (a new recipe that is sure to set off the smoke detectors if you aren’t careful). I learned to draw digitally (fairly proud of this one but I know that I still have a ways to go).
I learned that video calls are draining and that phone calls are much more soothing. I also learned to lock my dog in another part of the house with enough of a distraction before conducting a meeting (and that I am apparently not that exciting for her after 2 weeks.). There is more, but there isn’t quite enough room to fill up this blog post.
What about you? Have you learned anything new in this time of social distancing? What are you looking forward to as things reopen? Let us know in the comments!
